Today, we’re going to learn how to compose a five paragraph essay.
The first paragraph is the introductory paragraph, introduces us to the thesis of the essay, or in other words the main idea of the paper. The thesis should include three main supporting subtopics and be able to catch the reader’s interest by being clear and to the point.
The second to the fourth paragraph or the body paragraph are similar to the entire form. They all individually restate the subtopics of the thesis and are developed by giving supporting information.В Each subtopic or topic sense should be supported by 3 or more supporting senses. This sends in the reader’s mind the relevancy and relationship of each of the subtopics to the thesis statement.
The fifth and last paragraph restates the main thesis and reminds the reader of the three main supporting ideas that were developed throughout the paper. It is in the concluding paragraph when you sum up the entire paper. And this is the writer’s last chance to convince the reader of the validity of the paper.
Between all paragraphs of the essay there needs to be some kind of transition words, phases, or sentences. These transitions help the reader follow the flow of logic and sequencing of the paper. All these paragraphs play an important role in crafting an essay. They’re pieces of a puzzle that work together to create an easy to compose five paragraph essay.
